I love hearing stories.
My grandma was an wise lady, not that she has raised 6 children or 11 grandchildren, but she knew how to drive a point into ones head. For ever question we asked she had an answer, for every problem a solution.
She didnt tell us anybedtime stories...but she told a story why certain things have to be done,if anyone was refusing to make a good habit she would explain clearly as to why that habbit is good.
I wanted tojot down some such stories.....
Once i was refusing to have adrink of water ,before bedtime as i was too sleepy.Grandma always asked us to have a sip of water before going to bed.I was too lazy to drink water, daily i just used to make some excuse and try to skip it.one day she sat down to tellme a story about why i had to drink water before bed.The story goes as follows.......In the middle of the night when you get thristy, your soul will take you in search of water. You will go to kitchen, but the pot is closed.(we didnt have fridge or any taps.we only had handpump )you will roamaround and finally reach a cobbler shop.bcause you know that he has water in his mug.(in those days we had cobblers near the centers and near busstops...to mend our sandals.they had water mugs beside them.the cobbler used to keep his hands in the mug once in a while while sewing the sandals.the water was dirty )And your thirst will make you drink that water.so to avoid getting thirsty..try to make a habbit of drinking a small amount of water before going to bed.
Drinking Water from cobblers mug YUCK!the thought itself was disgusting. To this day i remember that story.I still have a sip water before going to bed to this day
